The Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (VCDEI) will be responsible for providing vision and leadership to the diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). The position will report to the Chancellor and serve on the Chancellor’s Cabinet. The VCDEI will build, in partnership with UAMS leadership, a clear vision, strategy, and structure for diversity and inclusion initiatives and will serve as the champion and advocate to ensure initiatives come to completion.

UAMS has a statewide footprint and the VCDEI will have a unique opportunity to collaborate across all UAMS locations to move diversity and inclusion initiatives from goals to programs grounded in excellence.

The VCDEI will continue to build and lead the Center for Diversity and Inclusion and will be tasked with working closely with senior leadership and other campus constituents to plan, implement, and assess success, excellence, and inclusion for all students and employees.
