
The Harvey & Benice Jones Eye Institute on the central campus offers routine eye care, an optical shop and specialized care in glaucoma, retina and cornea disorders, low vision and eye injuries along with plastic and reconstructive eyelid surgeries. The newest venture of the Department of Ophthalmology is GoVision AR, a mobile vision screening unit that will visit underserved areas of the state to offer vision screenings for school-aged children.
UAMS is Arkansas’ only ophthalmology training program and offers specialized care including no-shot, no-patch cataract surgery and groundbreaking genetic therapy that treat conditions that previously resulted in blindness.
